Joe Reichman – Managing Director
Joe Reichman is a professional petroleum reservoir engineer with over 40 years experience in managing oil, gas, coal seam methane and CO2 geosequestration and geothermal development and exploration in Australia and overseas. He has a Chemical Engineering Degree and has held senior project management roles for Santos, Crusader, Australian Hydrocarbons, BHP and WMC. For the past 20 years he has been Principal and Director of Reichman Petroleum Consultants Pty Ltd, providing specialist expertise on petroleum and geothermal reserves determination, asset valuation, project development and optimisation to clients including Santos, OMV, Transfield, Stanwell, Magellan, Sunshine and Inland Oil. He is a member of Society of Petroleum Engineers, Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia and Australian Geothermal Association. Mr Reichman is the founder and currently the principal shareholder and Managing Director of CEA.
Rod Bresnehan - Director Engineering
Rod Bresnehan has over 30 years experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, including upstream oil and gas reserves, resources and development, and downstream commercial, marketing, project management and implementation. He has held senior positions within the Oil Company of Australia and Santos in the petroleum reservoir engineering, development and commercial contractual areas. Rod holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and has previously held executive positions within Australian gas and oil associations such as the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He is also a director of Energy Resources Development and previously a non-executive director of Anzoil. Mr Bresnehan is currently a shareholder and Director-Engineering of CEA.
Ian Fendley - Operations and E, H&S Manager
Ian Fendley is a professional Well Site Supervisor with over 30 years of hands on experience in the oil and gas industry. His expertise covers all aspects of drilling, completions and well intervention in the oil, gas and coal seam methane areas of Australia and overseas. Ian is currently the managing director of Fendley Consultancy and acts as an independent consultant to the major oil companies operating in Australia. He currently heads a team of 70 independent consultants providing drilling and petroleum engineering consultancy services, Well Site Representatives, Logistic Co-ordinators and Environmental, Safety and Health Auditing Supervision in Australia and overseas. Ian Fendley and Fendley Consultancy have been recognised throughout the industry as a leader in Safety and Environmental Management. Mr Fendley is currently a shareholder and Operations and E, H&S Manager of CEA.
Cameron (Cam) Selin - Manager Well Construction
B.Sc Petroleum Engineering (Hons), CPEng, MBA, MAICD. Cam has held various positions including Team Leader for SW Queensland with Santos Ltd over the period from 1987 to 2001 in Drilling/Petroleum Engineering and Reservoir Engineering in South West Queensland and the Northern Territory. Prior to this Cam worked for Santos from 1980 to 1984 in the South Australia Cooper Basin as a field Petroleum Engineer. Cam has worked with Duke Energy International as Gas Supply Development Manager and also consulted to clients in the Queensland Coal Seam gas industry. More recently Cam was the field based Snr Petroleum Engineer in the Eastern Desert for Oil Search responsible for production optimisation and contract enablement asset transfer. While with Oil Search in Papua New Guinea, Cam was the field based Subsurface Engineering Supervisor responsible for the Moran, Gobe and Kutubu fields and assisted Oil Search with the transition to Operator from Chevron. Mr Selin is currently a shareholder and Manager-Well Construction of CEA.
Garth Evans - Exploration Manager
Garth Evans is a petroleum geologist with over 37 years of experience in oil and gas (including coal seam gas) exploration, development and production in Australia and overseas. He established Evans Energy, an independent consultancy in 1997 which has provided exploration evaluation, production and development management and independent technical expert reports to a range of clients including Santos, Energex, Eastern Star Gas and Magellan. Garth is also a senior associate of RobSearch Australia, a long established petroleum consultancy and has worked in exploration and production management roles for Claremont Petroleum, Arco, Asamera and AAR prior to establishing Evans Energy. Mr Evans is currently a shareholder and Exploration Manager of CEA.
Ian Paton - Principal Geo-scientist
Ian Paton has over 30 years experience as a geoscientist. Mr. Paton is a specialist geophysicist with extensive experience in petroleum field exploration and development. He began his career with BHP in 1976 as a geophysicist and worked in senior exploration and development roles in SANTOS(1980-1990), CONOCO (1991-1996) and as an independent consultant (1997+). In his working career he has been involved in many exploration discoveries and developments in most Australian basins and in SE Asia, Middle East and the North Sea. Most recently Ian led the subsurface team that was responsible for the expanded Montara ProjectDevelopment in the Timor Sea of Australia.Ian holds degrees in geophysics (BSc-hons) and petroleum engineering (MPet Eng).
Arjuna Seneviratne - Manager Commercial
Arjuna Seneviratne has over 23 years experience in the oil, gas and mining sector. Between 1998 and 2003 he was the Principal Advisor for Gas and Energy at MIM (now Xstrata) and during that time was responsible for MIM's natural gas, electricity and water arrangements and agreements. His $80 Million per annum budget responsibilities included negotiating and determining gas purchase, sale and transportation contracts as well as power purchase agreements between generators and customers. Since leaving MIM in 2003, Arjuna has acted as a Consultant on behalf of various entities, including for Xstrata (previously MIM) on an 18 month Gas Price Arbitration matter and for the Australian Pipeline Trust (APA Group), where he has undertaken commercial negotiations for the construction and operation of two gas fired power stations and two coal seam gas processing facilities. Prior to 1998, Arjuna spent nearly 12 years with Santos in commercialising gas and oil reserves, including projects such as the South West Queensland Gas Project and Unitisation. Mr Seneviratne is Manager-Commercial of CEA.
